Grammy award-winning Apostle Grisanthia Franklin, affectionately known as “San,” originates from the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Area, with her roots tracing back to Chicago, Illinois.

As the youngest daughter of a Baptist pastor, it was unexpected that she would emerge as the “preacher” in her family. Despite her background, San’s passion was always singing. She dedicated herself to music, singing persistently and wholeheartedly. This love for singing continued until she experienced a profound calling
from God, which transformed her musical performances into impactful mini sermons.

Today, Apostle Franklin serves as a board member with the Choir Room and advocates for Autism Speaks. Through her journey, she has come to realize that when faced with the wisdom and
knowledge of God, there is only so far one can run from His calling.

Where do you go when you need to feel safe? For some their safe place is in the arms of a loved one. Others may find peace and safety at a retreat or in their homes. But even when physical safety is easy to come by, you may still feel unsafe. When you feel uneasy about a recent decision or worry about a financial set back, you can trust in the Lord. We can find safety in Him.

Chico Robinson, the pastor of Truth Church in Philadelphia, wrote the gospel song Safe to encourage and reassure people that “the name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous run into it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10).

Featuring Marc Britt, Anton Milton and Deborah Carolina a few of the lyrics to Safe are:

We are safe
We are safe
The righteous run in and they are safe
The righteous run in and they are safe
In the midnight hour, He’s a strong tower.

“His very name is our security; he is a strong tower. We have access to His name and He never fails and is ever present to answer the righteous when we call.”
